The Importance of Direct Experience
In an interview years ago, Bill Moyers asked renowned mythologist Joseph Campbell if he were a man of faith. Campbell’s reply was: “I don’t have to have faith. I have experience.”

Why an experiment?
Well, after witnessing the transformative impact of “direct personal experience” in the lives of students and clients time and time again, I have become an advocate of what one might call the “experimental approach” to spiritual evolution.
I believe that the single best way to move up the scale from “fascination” to “faith” is to carefully orchestrate a controlled environmental situation where one can invite “the truth to reveal itself” in real and tangible ways – and I encourage everyone to set up just such an experiment for themselves.
