Today’s content and experiment excerpted (with permission) from Pam Grout’s ‘God Doesn’t Have Bad Hair Days.’
I adore this book. It’s wise, funny, irreverent, and totally aligned with the focus of this month’s ‘Play Your Way to Prosperity’ experiment.
Experiment: The Volkswagen Jetta Principle
Whatever You Focus On Expands
‘Miracles are like pimples, because once your start looking for them you find more than you ever dreamed you’d see.’ — Lemony Snicket
Premise:
One of the great spiritual principles is that whatever we devote our minds to expands. I like to call it the Volkswagen Jetta Principle.
According to physicists, there’s a Zero Point Field where every possibility exists. For example, there’s the possibility that you could be a ballerina, another that you could be a United States Senator. Still yet another possibility is bag lady in Haight- Ashbury. When it comes to the Zero Point Field, the possibilities
are infinite.
This simple, 48 hour experiment will prove that what you see in life is none other than what you look for. It will also prove that it’s possible to find anything you look for. And, most important, it will prove that by changing what you look for, you can radically change what shows up in your world.
Method:
For the next 48 hours (that’s all, a pain-free, two day commitment. You are free to go back to your miserable life as soon as this experiment is over), you are going to actively look for certain things. And just like sixth graders who start out dissecting worms, not human bodies, you’re going to begin with something simple — green cars. Okay, if you insist, you can pick another color. Sunset beige for example.
For the first 24 hours of the experiment, you’re going to make the following conscious intention, ‘I hereby intend for the next day of my life to look for…okay you win…sunset beige vehicles.’ Again, you don’t have to do anything special. Just keep your eyes open. Just make the intention. and then simply notice if your conscious awareness has made a difference in the number of sunset beige cars you see.
On day two, during the following 24-hour period, you’re going to make the intention to see butterflies. I don’t care if it’s the middle of winter. Make the intention. Jeanette tried the experiment in January in the upper peninsula of Michigan and found butterflies on stationery, on a paper cup at her daughter’s friend’s birthday party. the point is don’t let your previous conditioning influence you in any way. Just open your mind and look, consciously actively look–as if you had misplaced your car keys.
To participate:
Download the lab_report_sheet1.pdf here and hold your focused intention on subject of ’sunset beige cars’ for 24-hours and ‘butterflies’ for the 2nd 24-hours.
Then return here to the Blog to report on your experiences!

Chose “twins” – but none to be seen…tomorrow I`ll be on the lookout for cats, so lets wait and see (but maybe it takes some time? I could imagine that during the next couple of weeks I`d be seeing twins all over the place…

This is so fun!
How come we don’t always live like this?
I think that as long as it brings me joy, I’m going to incorporate this experience into my daily routine.
I’m going to intend to look for different things.
This is so fun!
Oh, I said that already.

I have already seen one this morning – in my driveway. It is my sons and it is strange that Elyse would pick green because I just co-signed to purchase this car for my 19 year old son. I will be on the look out and report back later today or tomorrow.
This is very innovative.

This is amazing! I’ve been thinking for the past two days that my next car’s color will be a beautiful green! I’m getting there!

Well I got to work fromhome today ( a big deal with this company) … so every 15 mins I got up to stretch and have finally started to go through my art and design books since I gave up teaching art college 16 years ago … and the first book I touched –
EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED (or you find it) – a creativity tool based on the Ancien Wisdon of Heraclitus ….by Roger van Oech…
and I remembered I had all my art and design students be aware that inspiration is a butterfly that flies quietly by the very corner of your eye and mind – and does not hang around or come back …always have your notebook ready to capture the idea …
and I looked out the window, and the 7 foot dark dahlias, the end of the rudbeckias, and the late flowering cosmos all have butterflies of different kinds flitting around ….
and my bos IM’s me to take off early – in perfect time for this 3pm propserity call!!!

I have now seen 7 more green vehicles (defined as smaller than a cement truck). I saw these as I doing my daily jog during lunch. Actually I was not paying attention for the first 1/2 of the jog and so probably missed some.
I would think that if I was truly jazzed about something (other than green vehicles) that I would probably pay attention even when I am not even “paying attention.” One of the things on my list of 100 is a midnight blue Hummer. I saw a Hummer today but not midnight blue.

Well, I had 7 green cars by lunch and by the end of the day it was 34 !!! (I sit in an office, I mean I am not on the road the whole day). I could not believe it. Green is not a very common colour here and suddenly there were green cars everywhere. I think I am going to choose something different everyday from now on. Notice the “choose”

So I wasn’t intersted in cars or butterflies but I am interested in seeing $100 bills and incredibly by half way through my day I have already seen 23 of them (12 were actually real!) but the kewlest thing was that when I was driving to my appointment I had a totally changed perspective. The first car/driver I saw my mind said – that car costs hundreds of dollars. And I saw a pretty woman dressed up and walking and my mind said – her outfit cost hundreds of dollars and then a man walking and my mind said he has hundreds of dollars and some are in his pocket! And then everywhere I looked I could hear the universe explaining to me that everything had a monetary value that was positive. Even the trees, they are young or old and they cost money to put in and plant and grow and landscapers worked around them and people cared for them and enjoyed them and so much more about everything. This is a wonderful feeling to have my perspective of $100 bills expanded like this. I had picked up my friend and we were delivering meals-on-wheels today and she had made a reference to $400 for something and I laughed “hey the universe is having you participate in my experiment” then as I explained she laughed and pulled out $1,260 of money from her wallet she had just cashed her husbands pay check and they were all $100 and $20 and I got to hold them and count them and then as I was really looking at them and marveling about how the bills say “in God we trust” so promentely and knowing that it could easily say “source, universe, spirit, higher self…” I noticed that the back of the hundred dollar bill has the picture of Independence Hall and the universe simply told my mind “freedom, Nancy, look at $100 bills as the bill of freedom from now on and life will get really exciting for you”….. yep, today has been really fun so far! Lol and yesterday I was struggling with the concept that money and play could be used positively in the same sentence- who’d a thought???

I didn’t get this at first, I don’t understand what sunset beige is. Why is that in there? Never mind. Thanks to the site, I can see from my fellow exprimenters it can be anything. I choose gerbera flowers and I will start tomorrow because it’s night time where I live.

I can’t stop laughing! This is so funny!!!!!!!!!!! (When I feel good expansive energy I laugh ~ When I feel negative energy moving out of my body I cry)
The $100.00 bills is just cracking me up. And all those green cars!
Oh, Elyse, you are so funny having us do this. I LOVE it! Now I see how this is how I’m supposed to bring into my life whatever I want. I mean if Sabine can see 34 green cars, then I certainly can see and have anything I want!
So, I don’t really like green cars (bad memories of my first car!). Butterflies are cool. Hmmm, what do I want to see?????
I’m going to look for red hawks and classic cars!

Just got off the conference call with Max and Cathy !
Thanks for all the lovely sharing and wisdom ‘light bulbs’ that came on (for myself and others too it seems)
Wanted to add for Candy a great book, as she was talking about faith of ‘waiting’ in the space between the ‘asking for what you want’ and the ’showing up’ : the book is THE SLIGHT EDGE by Jeff Olsen in which the whole theme is those tiny, seemingly incremental thoughts actions and habits each day (positive OR negative !) that over time compound and bring about the breakthrough or result that we asked for and set out to attract.
Hope this is of help, if Candy or others on the call get to read this web

Having done this once or twice now, and having suddenly seen a lot of beige cars ( WHO would pick such a dull colour?? ) I started yesterday seeing VW Jett’s EVERYWHERE without even trying, even nearly got run over by one!
I’ve decided to allow opportunities for prosperity to appear, and I’ve asked my mind to be on the lookout for them. Everything I’m noticing and coming across in my day I’ve been analysing “where’s the opportunity?”
I’m amazed with how on target my mind has been! I like : )

WoW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I merely went out on the streets of L.A. to run an errand which took only 1 hour total, and did not even use any freeways and I saw 314 red cars, I was SOOOOOOOOOOO under the impression that red cars did not exist anymore in L.A. and actually thought they were all black or grey or beige.
Only 1 hour and what fun it was !!!!!!!!!
I was so excited to count red cars, like counting red jelly beans before you eat them.
YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!
all is well and bring it on universe for tomorrows butterflies

Well, I have to admit that initially I didn’t find this fun because I kept changing my mind about what I wanted to see. I wasn’t wild about the beige because I thought that was so boring. So first I thought, OK, green will do and immediately saw like six green or seven green vehicles in less than a minute all at one stoplight! So, I thought that was too easy, I’ll choose red ones, same thing! Like a string of them – everywhere! Every possible shade of gorgeous reds including the most amazingly shiny metallic red Hummer I’ve ever seen!
Then I thought well what about luxury vehicles! That’ll also remind me of abundance. I decided to start with my own since I drive a beautiful dark blue GX470. It is quite luxurious. I sat in my vehicle, appreciating the smooth leather, the clean lines, the gorgeous wood steering wheel, the shiny chrome on the tires, the sound system – (which had the new Abraham – Hicks book on CD playing), I thought “I am so happy that I deserve this and love driving this car. It is safe and smooth and takes me where I want to go in style”!
As I started driving, I continued to appreciate living in such an abundant universe that in a time where so many say things are bad – it now seemed that everywhere I looked there were other Mercedes, BMW’s, I more Lexus, I saw Audi’s, Porsche Cayenne’s, Volvo’s and more than a few Hummers. Indeed, ever cars that I generally don’t thing of as “luxury cars” – the Mazda’s, etc…were all so shiny and clean and they were so well taken care of that I saw them as luxurious too. I saw smiling faces and everyone I came in contact with were helpful, friendly and just, I don’t know – inspiring!
So, tomorrow – it’s butterflies – unless I change my mind and make it polka dots! OR who knows – maybe it’s polka dot butterflies! HA!

I had a drive today that was about an hour long, and saw tons of green vehicles. I stopped counting when I hit 30. I didn’t count on the ride home, but I noticed several and I know I would have counted at least 30 again on the way home if I had counted.
But then in the evening I thought, “Okay, well of course I’m going to see green vehicles when I’m out on the road, but am I going to see them at home?” So I decided I wanted to see a green car before I went to bed. I was in the kitchen doing dishes before bed and noticed my son’s cup that is from the movie cars, and saw that there was a splotch of green on it. I bent down to pick something up off of the floor, and as I was standing back up I noticed the spine of my daughter’s binder on the shelf that happens to be COVERED in butterflies. I looked up at the clock and saw that it had just turned to midnight. So I’ve begun seeing butterflies today and I haven’t even woken up yet.

I am on butterfly (real animal) no 4 so far and its 14:00 here.

Well I left work yesterday on foot and counted 50 green cars on the way home.
Then, a bit premature but who cares, there was a programme on the telly about butterflies.
Again today in my office by the photocopier i saw a postcard with a beautiful butterfly on it. Not seen that before. Makes me feel quite excited xxx

Yesterday morning I was busy at work and I signed in late afternoon and I thought there isn’t many green cars. However as soon as I started thinking about green cars I saw all different shades of green cars, vans and trucks, from light metalic green to dark faded green van. Wow
This morning I had an appointment and I was half an hour early I stopped by Coffee Bean then I remembered that today I am going to look for butterfly. I thought I want to see a real butterfly. Few minutes later when I was walking to my appointment on the front porch all of a sudden I freezed, it was the most beautiful orange color butterfly enjoying the day. And listen to this when I walked out of my appointment I saw a white color butterfly and it is only noon time here in Los Angeles.
Now on every morning I will decide to what I am going to look for that day… How abundant my life can be….

Well I had chosen hawks and classic cars, but then went back to green cars and butterflies. I was very aware of this indecision as indecision is a major theme in my life. I have great difficulty focusing on one thing. I’m very scattered and all over the place. Too many good things in life to pick just one!
So I didn’t think I would see many green cars, as who buys green cars? I always seem to see white. But I did, and counted 50. I also took opportunities to leave the house so I would be able to see them. I live in a very rural country area.
Now I’m on to butterflies. And I counted 28, 28 stickers that it ~ all on my daughters bedroom door! I walked around my house looking for some, but see that I don’t have any, just lots of dragonflies and fairies.
So as it is getting dark here in California, I will keep looking tomorrow for butterflies.

I ended up with 8 real butterlies yesterday and in a way I was a bit disappointed because I am VERY aware of butterflies (my whole house is full of different forms of butterflies (which I did NOT count), and my garden is a butterfly garden and I was expecting so much more, so I am not sure what/how/why I blocked the allowing….
I am so glad for all of you who are allowing, keep it going!

I live in a university town. My husband and I had to go to the credit union and when we got in the car I told him about the experiment and looking for the autos one day and butterflies the next. He asked if he could play too and I was thrilled. I couldn’t remember the color of the auto so I told him we were looking for sunset sand. Well, it happened that it was the first day of football season which means 90,000 people pouring into town from all over and we were driving right in the middle of the game traffic – to and from our appointment. We counted 68 and found ourselves laughing the entire time calling each one our prosperity miracle.
So today I am working on the butterflies and he handed me butterfly bookmark for the first one. I took my little dog out for an a.m. walk and told her to go find me some butterflies, and she did, a beautiful monarch. When I came back and went to take my shower I had to stop in my tracks and start laughing, it brought my husband to see what was happening. On my dresser were several little silk pouches that I purchased months ago from a gem shop gowing out of business for a few dollars. Some of them had dragonflies, dragons, and yes, some had butterflies. I just got done counting 324 different size butterflies on the pouches. As I am typing this I looked out the window and just saw 2 more butterflies and it is not yet noon.
Why am I seeing so many of the autos and butterflies in my life? I am one of those people that need things to happen in a big way like the big hand coming down from the sky, to grab my attention and keep it going in the right direction. As I type I am watching another butterfly with completely different markings land on a raintree.
Gratitude is what is coming to mind and I am holding it in my heart.

I decided to look for red cars because red is my favorite car…I saw 321 red cars in 24 hours in a community of 15,000 people!!! They were not all bright red but a version of red which I thought was cool because abundance doesn’t always look the same. I was so impressed…then I turned my attention to butterflies and thought…okay I am game.
Well I saw 2 on a flag on the front of someone’s house. I was happy…that’s all I saw then last night I downloaded a computer game and was playing. When I rearched the third level..the screen filled with butterflies!!!!! After that there were butterflies …at least one…on every screen. Life is simply a delight
and so is the experiment!

At first I forgot the task I a went out home saturday morning, them I saw a red car and I remember that i decided fro red cars instead of the sunset beiige. I saw around 17 cars on the streets and in the railway. It was fantastic to see them by the way 5 of them were ferraris!!!!
On the second day I was delightful to see a small buterfly on my garden I thought it would be impossible to see one of this time of the day and actually I never saw a buterfly in my garden then there it was small and beautifull. Teh I saw the second one after two or three hours that I saw the first I was so grateful when I saw it. So gratitute was the feeling that I felt.

I walked outside this morning to turn off the sprinklers and there flew right past me a white butterfly and then when I looked down at the wet grass a little orange butterfly was skipping along. I didn’t think I was going to see any real ones, just my daughters stickers!
So I am going to keep playing this experiment. I am going to pick one new thing each day that I want to see. Things that I want in my life. This will be challenging for me as I have such a hard time focusing! And what do I choose first????!!!!!!

For the second day I chose dimes or dimes chose me when I found one on the ground. What was really exciting to me was that night I dreamt of dimes twice. Why was that exciting? Because it showed that ‘choosing to see’ or look for something had permeated all the way to my subconscious which was manifesting dimes while I slept. Yeah!

Ok so the universe has a sense of humor. I had at first wanted to see red hawks and classic cars, but then thought it might be easier to stick with green cars and butterflies.
Yesterday morning something red was at the end of my driveway. I left it there not taking the time to walk down the drive to see what it was. My husband came home from work and brought it up the drive.
This morning I went out to water the yard and there was the red thing on the basketball hoop. I picked it up and saw it was a shirt. Eww, I better throw this away I thought. But when I opened it more to see the front of the shirt it said “Tony Hawk”
HA HA HA HA HA I asked to see a red hawk, so the universe sent me a RED shirt with the words tony HAWK!!!!

I thought I would change the color of my car to orange, because I thought it was a less common color. On my way to work, I saw one. On my way home from work I saw another. Should I have seen more? Should I have not changed the color of the car or maybe I wasn’t focused enough. Anyway, the most awsome thing happened. As I read my asignment, I thought butterflies…. I have only seen one all month. What’s the liklihood I will see any over the next two days. I close my computer, take my mail from the day before, open it and presto! A dozen butterflies inside the flier!Wow. (maybe I was thinking more of the butterflies than the orange cars.) The next day (Saturday) I turn on the TV and am watching a movie where a man is trying to impress his girlfriend, lures her into a room in his family home, opens the door…..and it is absolutely filled with butterflies! I am floored! Now, what did I do with the focus of orange cars?

The day after I saw so many sunset beige cars I began looking for butterflies. For some reason that day I was distracted enough not to remember I was looking for them most of the day. I felt a bit discouraged and disappointed in myself for forgetting. The next day was the same way. The day after that I took my dog to the park for a walk as it’s cooled down a bit where I live. While walking through the park I came upon an area filled with butterflies! They were of all different colors..swooping and swirling around each other! Amazing! I just stood and admired all of them!

I loved this game as it reminds me of counting Volkeswagon Beetles with my Dad when I was a small child. I used to say “look, Daddy, another one.” That enthusiam still was with me when I did this experiment. I got a late start on it so I may do it again and repost. I changed mine from the beige cars to shiny red fire trucks (and related fire vehicles) and in one day alone of doing the experiment (Sunday), I saw at least 8 and probably another 5 or so the next day. I also kept my eyes peeled for butterflies and saw so many I lost count. They love to congregate in my garden so I am always blessed to see them and I always acknowledge their beautiful physicality and also animal medicine properties of transformation. I also kept watch for orange dragonflies, which seem to be following me of late. And ladybugs as well. And hummingbirds. So doing this experiment was a blessing because it reminded me to look for the miracles of things that are often right before us. Thanks, Elyse. I am going to keep practicing this exercise in my journal as well.

This is just too amazing! I was in here yesterday reading through the blog, when I found this entry about Creating Your Own Proof… so, ok, I decide this might be interesting, and decide that for the 1st day (which was yesterday) I am going to look for “pink roses”, and then on the 2nd day (which would be today) I will look for butterflies. So, I see a few pink roses yesterday, I notice that most are in my home and my yard, and I count them….. hmmm, not as many as I thought I would have seen, but ok, I actually began seeing butterflies yesterday more than the pink roses…. So, this morning I am just here “putzing” around on the computer, doing something totally unrelated (or so I thought) and what pops up in front of me, but this picture…….. http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u234/Delia252/2836303482_f0a5cacf3f.jpg…... I just about fell out of my chair! I do believe someone is trying to tell me something!
p.s. I was even so intrigued by this whole experiment yesterday that I went to Amazon online and purchased a used copy of “God Doesn’t Have Bad Hair Days”, can’t wait for it to get here!

I love this experiment! And I have to tell you what showed up during the weekend as I focus on prosperity consciousness. I was driving down the road on Saturday afternoon. A car was pulled off to the side a little way ahead. As I approached, a woman jumped out of the car and was looking intently at the traffic, looking like she was about to dart into the road. There was paper money fluttering in the middle of the road. I began to laugh — physical evidence that abundance and prosperity are all around us, all the time. All we have to do it open our eyes!
Can’t wait to count cars today and butterflies tomorrow!

I am seeing evidence of my animal art selling, because I am being asked questions ~ how much ARE THOSE PAINTINGS? and can you do this drawing and painting and do you already have a painting of that Ape and her baby? And I’d like to buy some of your t-shirts! And its turning out that all I have to do is say YES, yes, YES. And be clam and present. AT LAST it feels like its the most natural event in the world for me ” to be a joyful, wealthy and successful Artist and art teacher”.

Okay….do I need any more proof than this? Yesterday I saw a very ugly old Toyota Corolla and it was “Sunset Beige”!!! I mean it really looked like a sunset too, all faded with different shades of beige and a little pale orange. I remember thinking why am I noticing this car of all cars. So when I read the experiment for today that car instantly came to mind. That blows my mind and an excellent example of how the universe works and not in linear time either, backwards-forwards-and upside down. Isn’t life grand when we pay attention to the good stuff? I’m loving this experience. Thank you Elyse, thank you God, thank you to everyone participating. Have a great day! Maybe I’ll even see that same car again, wouldn’t that be a hoot!

This is so crazy! Just last night I was talking to my friend, Amber, who I’m doing this “experiment” with and feel as though is one of my soul mates (Yep, you Amber! Too bad you’re not a dude!) and she was telling me about this spectacular day she had yesterday and how she kept seeing butterflies! And also we were both wondering if we were just going to write through this entire “experiment” or if we’d be assigned playful tasks. Somehow we skipped ahead in the “experiment.” Ah, the prosperity! I love it!

You have to know my girlfriend and I have been doing this for some time here. She wants an Acura, so I said, “I’ll see it with you. Everyday she and I discuss how many times we have seen her car. It’s really funny everytime I see the car, I always say without hesitation or resistance, “There is Tyrica’s car.” I laugh and I call her and tell her so. This is more evidence of how the LOA of is working in my life, that I am attracting even more positivity and people of like minds. I am so honored to be in unison with you and all of your dreams. You shall have what you say and have it more easily the faster you agree.
I drive past people’s homes and I admire the scenery. I must admit I am not a gardener or really one for the outdoors. I am in awe when I see how some people’s yards look so beautiful with pretty flowers. I love flowers. To me a flower is just a manifestation of what is that we are just seeds in the beginning, but it is deeper than that to me. Anyway yesterday, why did my daughter say, “Mom, can I go see my grandmother.” I thought hey why not. When I went to my mother’s my stepfather(hey imagine how long it took me to say this), Shawn I was just thinking of you. I said, “Why?” He said, “I was going to come past your house to bring the flowers that you said you liked to put in front of your house, because it would be a good day to take them up because the ground is softer, beause it rained today.” I said, “For real.” All the while, I was going throught the house saying to my mother, “I thought we were going to plant the flowers.” He intervened with what spirit had laid on his heart. In fact SPIRIT was giving me my answer through him, but me being my resistant self, wanted the flowers to get there the way I wanted it to get there, but spirit had a bigger idea from the mind of GOD. My mother needed some gas money. I gave it to her, what I could, in fact I was really happy to be able to give her what I could. You must understand that my mother and I have been on the outs for some years now, because of her choice of a lover. These days that is not all of that important to me, I say, “If she likes it, I LOVE IT.” There is really something liberating about knowing that GOD is. When he told the children of Israel by way of Moses, I AM THAT, I AM. I really hear it, I get it a lot of my judgements and false sense of securities no longer seem important.
God knew that my mother would need some gas money, that’s why he sent me there, and he also knew that it was time for some healing, between me and my mother, and my stepfather. My stepfather planted them buds from his plants infront of there house and he cleaned out my front yard. I mean when he called me outside. I said, “This is the way I had always invisioned it.” I named my flowers, Jordan, Ammira, Champion, and King. We laughed we talked about old times when I was a child and it was just a day for us to reconnect. My step dad said, “Shawn you probably won’t even remember the names of these plant.” I said, “I bet I do, because I can’t forget JACK, THAT’S MY HUSBANDS NAME, the acronym for Jordan, Ammira, Champion, and King.” I am loving this prosperity. I even shared with them a house I saw with six bedrooms that I would get if they would have to be cared for, because I would rather have my mother with me then to put her in a rest home, and these days I would even take my stepfather, because my mother wouldn’t have any other way. I guess I wouldn’t either.
I love you Elyse, for bring this into my consciousness not really about external, but it’s really about an inside notion that attracts an outside motion.
Everybody, BE BLESSED, THAT I AM

I hit the ground running this morning. I’ve been working and it’s a good thing! I made more money than I anticipated and that’s so great! Now I’m finally getting to have some “me time” in my day and I discovered this experiment! I love it. I’ve made a slight adjustment, however. Instead of cars, I’m going to look for Wizards.
I find that this time through the experiment, my ideas on proof of prosperity have expanded. I’m not just looking at things that are related to me personally. I’m seeing that my friends and loved ones have also had increases in their flow of prosperity — the boy who became a boyfriend, the audition that became a booked job. I see that the immediate circle of those around me are experiencing sudden opportunities or road blocks simply disappear. As I prosper, I see others also prosper. I am so deliriously happy for them. I’m as grateful as if these things were happening to me.

i love this experiment! and i know it will work because it’s like when you discover a word or a thing you’ve never heard or seen before and then suddenly it comes up in conversation or experience everywhere you turn.
like now because you are aware of it, you see it!
i can’t picture the color sunset beige in my mind because when i think of sunset’s i think of pinks and oranges!! but i intend for the next day (tuesday), to see orange cars!!! and for the following day (wednesday) to see butterflies. i will also intend/expect to see green money/cash show up for me in a real concrete ways as either an unexpected check or some other way! i’ll try all three.
i’ll report back! ;0).

45 sunset beige cars and counting. I also was amazed by the number of green cars I have seen – about 10. This is great fun!
I’ll be on the lookout for butterflies tomorrow. What a great way to be in the moment!

This blew my socks off for two reasons…Before I read this blog this morning I was having a conversation about this exact topic…Talking about when you learn something new, or something has been made aware to you you start to see it everywhere… And then I come home and check the blog and it is this….Notice cars and butterflies…And then yesterday I was ecstatic because everywhere I went I was seeing yellow butterflies…It was if they were telling me all day long that I was in the right place doing the right thing…It was the most magical synchronized day ever and it was filled with butterflies, amazing…I always feel blessed in the company of a butterfly, yesterday was amazing and I am looking forward to doing it again…And to my friend Amanda I totally agree with you, this is so fun and I am so glad we not only share with all these nice folks but especially each other… Love to you all and so it is…

Funny thing I didn’t get to do this until later this evening. BUT, on my way home I kept thinking about I need to finish the book I wrote. (Some illustrations are needed)=still need help with that. Amyway, I said that I didn’t wish it to be raining when I arrived at my home. It began pouring rain about a third of the way home and then I had a detour which took me on a road which I had no idea where it went. Came out on a road I sometimes travel. It was great even though it was raining. Then about 8 miles from home I saw the sun and I kept saying the rain will stop. It stopped about 1 mile from my house. Not going back to any misery.
No butterflies or looking for cars. But believe it or not Laura Jean, you just found your Wizard. A good friend of mine always says women cannot be leprechauns, so I said I was a wizard and that’s what he calls me at times.
Tomorrow, I am looking for birds…or butterflies. Blessings to all.

I spent the day at the Butchart gardens in Victoria and didn’t remember till the trip home that I was supposed to be looking for and noticing green cars. So with absolute intensity my husband and I began to count green cars. And I experienced an “ahaa”. There were ALL kinds of colors and shades of green! So our initial perception of green had to be adjusted. We had the opportunity to broaden our definition of green. The greater our concentration, the more green cars we could see. Sometimes part of a car was green. Then we had to decide if a semi truck counted since it wasn’t a car. Each of these “dilemmas” applied to prosperity. Is there prosperity in our life that we don’t “see” because we’ve made our definition too narrow? How important is “the technicality of the color (prosperity) in counting it? How much do self imposed mental limitations block our awareness of prosperity that is waiting on our openness to receive or notice? That’s the drift of the aha.

Today I chose to see teal green cars. You dont see them often
especially in our small town. Guess what? I saw 6 cars in the shade of color I chose.
Tomorrow I choose to see a blue feather. Butterflies are abundant around my home. I see dozens of them daily. They are so much fun. I love being around them. So I will look forward to seeing those blue feathers instead.
This is so much fun. I first remember reading about this and
practicing this after reading Jonathan Livingston Seagull. Thats where the blue feather comes from. Does anyone else remember?
How interesting that we can make this simple little intention
work. But we struggle with the other stuff. Shouldn’t the
“Big” stuff be just as easy?
Love and light to all

So the funny thing about this was I had to consciously STOP looking for cars a few times because I was so focused on it that I was having trouble driving. It is crazy to say that I saw 175 sunset beige cars? The color was a bit of a challenge to grasp, and I suspect that there are many nuances. On to butterflies today!

I took my daughter to visit her old elementary school yesterday and on the way there were so many of the bright red cars that I manifested that I stopped counting. Today as I took her to school, I saw my first butterfly. I am confident that I will see many more throughout the day.
The Law of Attraction has worked throughout my life. I didn’t know that there was a name for it. When I was in high school I planned my life down to the fact that I wanted a job that would give me the opportunity to travel and from there visit relatives in Italy whenever I wanted. The first time I was on a business trip to Paris and decided to fly to Sicily, it dawned on me that everything that I had planned had come to pass. Of course, I realized that I should have manifested greater things for myself and I would have had achieved them.
It’s not too late, I am manifesting now and I believe that I will receive what I have asked for. Thank you for the tools that you provide to help us get there.

Yesterday my daughter and I took 1 trip into town and then walked to a nearby park. Within a time frame of about 1.5 hours, we saw at least 61 green vehicles! Several of those vehicles we saw more than once, but we only counted them the 1 time. I suppose if we had counted them all as many times as we had seen them, it would’ve been around 100!
We’ll see how many butterflies we see today. I’m very excited. I knew that it could be this easy, but it’s been a while since I’ve allowed things to be this easy for me. Its a great reminder to deliberately choose my reality!

Taking stock of observing the prosperity coming in…
My husband bought me a new laptop computer…
I have had 4 people set up regular private lessons with me on a weekly basis.
My business has continued to receive new registrations..( I need to do a count)
I have continued to pay off some debts.
I found items I needed to buy at signifigant savings that were unexpected.
I have felt like I have had extra time, to do things I wanted and needed to do at a comfortable pace.
I have added some extra exercize into my daily routine.
I have been reading and writing and studying and doing more in terms of aligning my energy.
I am thinking in more possiblitie’s and catching my limiting thoughts and beliefs, and choosing new thoughts more consciously.
I have connected with some special old and new friends.

I had the same “problem” as Danielle, I was so focused on green cars, I was having trouble driving! I even put my glasses on to see the colours properly. I got 21. Given that I drive only 8 km to and back from work and am in an office the whole day, AND the fact that green is NOT a common car colour in South Africa, I reckon “I did quite well”. (Plus I resisted the “cheating” of driving a roundabout way to see more cars……
I even saw a butterly (on an add) and that jolted me more so than the cars, I think. Kinda ahead of my time

Well, I counted 4 butterflies today. 2 were live butterflies and the other “2″ were my daughter’s 2 butterfly shirts hanging in the closet. I decided to count them each as one even though they’re both covered in butterflies. I suppose if I had stopped to count them all, I would’ve seen more than 100. And, as a side note, I continued to see a plethora of green cars today! Now I just have to decide what I want to see tomorrow.
This is sooooooo wonderful!

Not a single yellow hummer in two days-we saw so many during our game a few weeks ago (my son and I, that is to say. We have a game called Skittles where we are on the look out for a particular color/brand vehicle.)
And, not a butterfly to be seen-in the air, on t-shirts, on print ads in magazines.
My core said…you knew you wouldn’t!! So…I was successful??!! I got what I believed in my core?? So, how do I change THAT?? Because, I am guessing that THAT is what is blocking my prosperity.
Now what??
So, Yes I am manifesting…and now I have evidence that I am manifesting ‘lack’ and doing it well….even with butterflies. How does one change core belief? I shall continue playing….

I couldn’t quite decide exactly what colour was ’sunset beige’, so decided to look for baby blue cars.
I was driving for about 3 hrs yesterday when I finally saw a van a beautiful shade of this blue. I was relieved because I was becoming convinced that my anxiety was going to block any form of manifestation, which is what I now realise happens with me.
As for butterflies, not a one. Until just as I was very nearly home I drove past a shop sign that said “Papillon”. I allowed myself that as a manifestation. It means butterfly after all, and was written in very large letters.
Funny though, my reaction to the lack of butterflies was “there should be more images of butterflies around?”
I love them and have some in my room. (Not real ones). They are beautiful things and exactly the kind of image needed to brighten city life. I reckon I’m going to spend some of my Prosperity Game money commissioning beautiful images of butterflies to uplift the city!

Sunset beige cars: 2 Butterflies: 50 and +

Butterflies: one. I was so stressing out about seeing one (on adds or anywhere), well, I was stressing…..
Then I though, OK, I just TRUST that I see one (and somehow I deep down KNEW it was going to happen), and within 2 min there was one in un unexpected place.
I always liked butterflies, and have some (made of feathers, plastic, glas etc) in my house, so after the “only” one today I counted in my house: 21
I am not sure if this is cheating…..

Well, the first day I decided it would be yellow flowers. I wasn’t really focused on it at all, and I only saw 3. I wasn’t particularly concerned, however, as I’ve experienced many times this kind of proof, and for the past 2 weeks so much I’ve focused on has come true.
The second day I focused on stars, but again, I kept forgetting about it. Then I realized I was seeing stars in interesting forms. My roommate is getting a dog, and she’s named her Stella. My nephew’s birthday balloon is covered with stars, and is also star-shaped. A new idea for an art project came to me – and the subject matter was starfish. There’s a couple of books here about constellations that I noticed this evening.
So, there weren’t that many stars, but they were impactful and creatively conjured up. This showed me that sometimes what we’re focused on doesn’t always come in the form we think it’s going to take, and to be open to alternate interpretations and manifestations. Also, that even if I’m not actively focused on something I want, it will still come – and my awareness, my presence will alert me to it.
I am taking from this particular experiment that making time to be still each day will carry me forward and bring to me what I need and want, even if I’m not actively carrying its image in my mind. Just by letting go of negativity (which btw, I’ve had quite a bit of these past 48 hours), I will be allowing what I’ve asked for.
Thank you, Elyse, for this two day activity, and for creating this larger community.

I understand what doing this ex does!! i decided or “chose” to see green transports and saw them in front and back of my vehicle ( which is green) as i drove, lined up together in threes parked on the street, i parked next to one, and in a v small town, saw 93 by end of day incl one green bike. wht this did was make me aware: (1) that i can see what i choose to see, (2)the attention, to my chose, i needed to be aware of,(3) the fun this is, also, i looked in places i normally wd not, unintentionally haha, my head turned to a side street and there was a green truck, and while driving, i glance to my right and there’s one, all day long, if i can gather green vehicles to appear, i certainly can gather green paper energy in abundance. it is the same spirit of fun fullfillment. and takes the same amt of attention.

I just reread my post, and in black and white I read that I am not as grateful as I could be. (”ONLY three” “there weren’t THAT many”).
So now I will say that I am grateful for the 3 bouquets of lovely yellow flowers I saw – 2 kinds of sunflowers and a pot of mums. One of those sunflower bouquets I bought for myself – taking action to bring beauty and luxury into my life – so I am glad I am nurturing myself. I listened to a podcast earlier with Eckhart Tolle who talked about flowers being a direct link to the divine & I think he’s right – that I chose yellow, the color of the sun, bringer of life, and flowers, such delicate & transcendant plants. There is a reason for that.
And my second choice – stars. It is not the quantity of stars I found throughout the day, it is how I was able to broaden my view of what constituted a star. And for that expansion of my mind, I am deeply grateful. To keep my mind open, to think creatively – this is a gift. And especially I am thankful for the starfish image – I think it will lead me to a whole new venture. Small seeds grow great trees. Again, thank you for the seed.
Bless us all with love and joy,
Kellie

Today on the drive from work (45m) I counted 26 green cars.
The best part was how much fun I found it and the insights. The first insight was when I stopped focussing and wondered how many I might have missed I instantly said to myself, “There will be plenty more.” and then realised that prosperity is like i.e. don’t waste time or energy on what I think I missed as there is plenty of prosperity ahead. The second insight was that when I wasn’t in the present or in the NOW as Ekhart Tolle says, that’s when I missed them. Again a comparison to prosperity eg when my mind wanders or relives all the petty stuff or imagined slights of the day I am not focussed on the now or looking for prosperity so will not notice what is all around me.
Looking forward to seeing butterflies tomorrow.

Okay. When I focused on green cars, saw none in the first 10 minutes. After deciding to hold it loosely and just let them be in my perception, immediately began seeing green cars. So many that I had to give myself more clarity. I saw 68 green cars in total of less than an hour. Probably about 40 of those were what I would call green green. The other 28 or so were cars that were mostly green like candy apple, forest green, green-blue, yellow-green.

To be honest, I never managed to remember to look for the cars. But the butterfly thing has just blown me away. The day I chose to start “noticing,” I was signed up to attend a field trip with my 7-year-old to a local apple orchard. Here’s what I saw: Dozens of real butterflies on our tour through the orchard (including getting a beautiful picture of a butterfly that landed on a flower and stayed there for a very long time, as though it was posing for me, and one that landed on the leg of someone I was chatting with and stayed there for quite a while); butterfly imagery in several areas of the orchard, including signs and plaques and embossed stepping stones, and — inside the house where the children were listening to a lecture — there was a huge display of different kinds of butterflies in boxes — HUNDREDS of them. Literally, I saw so many butterflies on this trip that there would have been no way to even begin to count how many. Crazy wonderful proof!!
And, in the days since then, I have continued to see butterflies, both alive and artistic, around me everywhere. One landed on the chair next to me when I was outside on my back porch reading this morning.
I’m going to keep noticing them, because I love them so much and adore this proof!

This is by far the best experiment ever! The first day was yesterday I saw 31 sun beige cars within a 16 block radius which I walked, it all started as I walked out of the door I instantly saw 4 cars I was so happy. Day 2 things started out a little slow, I forgot to focus my attention however the moment I did I noticed someone had drawn a picture of a butterfly on the desk I was sitting at, next a co-worker comes into work with 2 butterflies on her nails, that was 3 after leaving work I saw a window showcasing baby clothes there was a butterfly nest to the display, I walked a few more blocks to go into a card store and low and behold I ended up counting 34 additional butterflies, there were more but I wasnt sure if I should count the additional amount on a box of duplicate cards, if so then it would be a total of 56 butterflies. I HAVE THE PROOF I WAS LOOKING FOR YIPPEE!!!!! Thank you so much for this exercise.
