Even though I read the website, many quotes, and advice from Elyse, it took time for me to realize that it is not wishful thinking but real feeling that makes the real difference. My experience with this is so amazing to me that I was hesitant to write it. I was forced to end the suffering of my old dog of 14 yrs after seizures and a debilitating stroke in Jan 2008. He had been with me through some of the most difficult times in my life, and of course, his loyalty was unconditional. We had moved to the countryside almost 5 yrs ago and I thought it would be so much better for my friend, the large dog, than living in the city. But, the transition for me was difficult, and I was so busy trying to make a business and working a part time job, that I spent even less quality time with him than ever before. At the end of his life, I realized how I could have, should have, paced myself better to appreciate our new life. It was too late. I missed him dearly and so wanted a second chance but I decided that I would only get another dog if fate somehow brought one to me. The best scenario I had was to find a dog by the side of the road. It was my secret hope that he would somehow come back to me. I had even dreamed of him being prepared to come back. He 'told' me that he wanted to, but was unsure because of the life he may have to live before finding me again. In the dream he was all black (not his original colors - he was a Labrador/Shepherd mix) and then a woman entered carrying a small vile of sky blue liquid with a white light that eminated from within and shone brightly thru it all. This was the final 'ingredient' for his return. Months passed and I still often felt deeply about our times together and just let the thought go, but still having hope that maybe someday my crazy wish may come to pass. Driving home one day, on a very long rural road, I could not believe my eyes. A black dog with a white crest on the chest crept off to the side of the road and laid down near the side of the ditch. I stopped to see if it was injured. A Labrador with big black eyes looked up at me and then another car stopped coming from the opposite direction. The dog had a choke collar on, and the woman in the other car did not look to happy, so I figured it was the owner retrieving the runaway. As I pulled ahead, I saw the dog go to her. My heart was racing, and I could not believe the coincidence, but obviously, this was not the dog I had been hoping for. A week later, my wife surprised me with a flyer that had been put in our mailbox. It was from a private kennel in the area with a photo of that same dog, age approx 8 months old. I contacted the kennel and discovered that the person who stopped on the road at the same time as I was not the owner, but an avid dog rescuer. The kennel had done the search from dog tags and found that the dog was apparently abandoned after the summer. She randomly picked our home to put one of the flyers because it seemed like it would make a nice home for a dog. I went to the kennel first thing in the morning and the woman was surprised how the dog reacted to me - as if she were meeting an old friend. I wanted a second chance. I visualized, not intentionally in the 'prosperity' sense, but from true feeling about how it would be to find a young black dog by the side of the road. Is it really my old dog who has returned to me? My logic still has trouble with that, but I find the series of events amazing. In any case, I have been given a gift. I got my second chance and appreciate much more from life now and making time for it is also so much easier and rewarding. I wanted a name for her that started with the letter 'M' and somehow represented rebirth, or eternal life, or immortality. I chose Maia, the eldest, most beautiful daughter of the Pleiades star cluster. A constant reminder in the sky and also how we got the name of our month of May... time for rebirth from the earth. I manifested pretty much the whole trip being paid for. I came home with more money than I left with. I was able to touch some lives with my healing work. I got some free bodywork done that was definitely needed. I learned some new drumming techniques that took me out of my old comfort zone. I made some new friends and my old friends had so much fun that they said they would like to do more trips where they pay for me and we get to hang out. Monday my mom came out to visit me from 1000 miles away and was so nice to me; spoiled me rotten. I told her she was really going overboard but she insisted on getting me two fabulous duvet covers, a set of bamboo placemats for my kitchen table, a gorgeous Chinese top in royal blue, a beautiful thick wool winter jacket and took me and my partner to a great Italian restaurant for dinner. I am SO GRATEFUL to her for helping me out with things I would not have been able to buy for myself. Certainly I needed the jacket with winter at the doorstep. Yesterday my partner got FANTASTIC news, but let me give you the back story first. Sept 16 he lost his job and was supposed to recv severance pay. His paycheque? $18. They either "forgot" or chose not to pay the severance, accrued vacation pay and some other dollars and cents. We're working on this, of course. Meanwhile back at the ranch, a friend of his called him up and said I hear you are looking for work? How about full time at $5 more an hour than you were previously making? Yesterday he met with his new employer- he starts next Tuesday!! Not only does he make a fantastic wage, but in the New Year the wage is expected to go up ANOTHER $5 hourly!!! Standing where I am in this moment I can only see us being able to not only pay many outstanding blils, but actually be able to move FORWARD and complete the dreams I have outlined on my vision board. Speaking of which- what did I write on my vision board 2 weeks ago? In huge green letters, above all the other "visions" and hopes and dreams, I wrote "HE WILL RECEIVE A BETTER PAYING JOB" at the very top of my vision board. And SO IT IS !!! ALL IS WELL !! One of the people that I worked on has hired me in the past to do chair massage at a board meeting that she organizes. She told me she was glad I was there and gave me the schedule for the fall meeting! As I was driving home, I had a call from another new client, who found my website and needed a massage this week! Today, while doing some much-needed de-cluttering of my business and personal papers, I came across a unopened check for $250.00 that had been sent to me in JULY!! Needless to say, I attribute this blessing (along with two meetings scheduled with potential clients) to this collective prosperity experiment and playing the prosperity game. Of course, I will enter this unexpected blessing into my gratitude journal but I wanted to let you know that today I am celebrating with everyone else who are experiencing the flow of new prosperity flowing into their lives. Please pray with me as eagerly anticipate the Universe to bless me with steady income that far exceeds my recurring expenses and to be completely caught up with my mortgage payments. In my prosperity game I had asked for money to take seminars. Low and behold instead of money for seminars, I was gifted with a four hundred dollar seminar. This same person also gifted me with money for gas too and from and for tolls. This particular seminar will fit in nicely with things I had in mind for my business. I also received lots of healthy food from this same person. On the same day that we were shopping at local farms, we ran across walnuts still in the green hulls which I had asked the Universe for to make my homemade tincture. It does work. I asked and I got it. I spent the day enjoying my friend's baby shower and her prosperity because she got pregnant and has twins coming! Later, I was networking at a Film party and was invited FREE and while there met a videographer who is open to discussing my working with him on a sales training video. (I've been writing sales training material). I am so grateful that I am noticing these properous coincidences and that I am feeling good and honoring myself regularly now. I am wealth. I am abundance. I am joy. I'm so grateful I am on this journey!
