“We must be the change we wish to see in the world.” — Mahatma Gandhi
Gandhi’s statement is certainly in alignment with our focus this month on ‘creating prosperity from the inside-out.’
We must generate from within ourselves that which we wish to see in the world.
So, now that you have gotten clear about what you wish to see in your world (as described in your personal definition of prosperity) and you are clear that you are, indeed, the ‘chooser,’ the next step is to bring your energy into alignment with your choices so that you become a match to what you’ve chosen to manifest.
‘I choose prosperity.’
Can you say that and mean it?
‘I choose prosperity.’
Are you in 100% vibrational agreement with that statement – or do you feel contradictory energy becoming activated within you when you say the statement, ‘I choose prosperity?’
Today we are offering a powerful tool that will support you in moving into vibrational alignment with your decision to ‘choose prosperity.’
Progressive Affirmations
Explanation: Why affirmations often do not work
Have you ever wondered why affirmations and visualizations work, sometimes but not every time? The causal factor is always “your emotional state.”
When you say an affirmation like, “I am improving every day in every way” and your whole being resonates with the truth of this statement … then your affirmation has powerful creative potential.
However, when you make a statement (write an affirmation, do a visualization) with which your body does not agree, the dissonance within you will set a different set of attractors into motion.
You can very easily prove this to yourself.
Try saying one (or all) of the following with pure, positive feeling:
“My checking account is worth millions.”
“I have everything that I need and want.”
“I am completely devoid of fear.”
Can you feel the contradiction within your gut?
When your thoughts and feelings are not in harmony it is as if you have harnessed two horses that are moving in opposite directions.
‘Affirmations work best when you use them to affirm the truth about yourself. I have found that they fail miserably when you use them to suppress negative thoughts or feelings.’– Shakti Gawain
In order to propel your desires forward it is necessary to have your thoughts and your feelings working in alignment (for, when they are not, it is the “feeling” state that wins the day.)
When you say words that are out of harmony with what you really believe you will often find that you actually end up holding more energy around your core belief.
“When thought, feeling, and emotion are not aligned, each may be considered out of phase with the others. While there may be brief areas of overlap, much of the pattern is unfocused, working in different directions, independent of the rest of the pattern. The result is a scattering of energy.” Conversations with God
Action Steps : Progressive affirmations
Progressive affirmations help you to make incremental vibrational shifts in the direction of the belief that you truly wish to hold.
This is the path of the Progressive Affirmation around ‘choosing prosperity’
1) It is nice to imagine that I can ‘choose prosperity’
2) I am open the experience of ‘choosing prosperity’
3) I now have confidence that I can ‘choose prosperity’
4) I Choose Prosperity.
Directions: Repeat the statement from the first stage numerous times daily and write any negative thoughts that surface (gunk).
Continue until you feel at one with (no resistance to) the statement. This may take several days but you will know when you are ready to move to the next stage because when you read the stage 1 positive affirmation and your ego has nothing to say or you agree with the affirmation and there is no resistance to it. At this point it is time to move onto stage 2 and so on to completion.
(Note: This process is an integration of the Abraham ‘Focus Wheel’ and Joan Gattuso’s Progressive Affirmations as presented in A Course In Life.)
Share your insights and experiences using this tool over the next few days in the ‘comments’ section above.

Along with progressive affirmations, EFT can be an extremely helpful tool to clear away the “gunk.” Neutralizing beliefs which no longer serve me has lead me to manifest an amazing, high paying career, dream car and improved relationships along with so many daily synchronicities too numerous to mention! And I learned about EFT from Elyse’s newsletter!

I am in complete agreement with my affirmations, so they are working for me. i do remember a time, however, when i felt that tug at my gut for not “feeling” the alignment altogether.
Use the progressive way until you can feel no resistance at all, and then reap the benefits.
Prosperity to all who believe………….. and strength, endurance and prosperity to all who are getting to that point.

I find I can not say what is not true without feeling resistance unless I am playing the prosperity game. I know in my heart that all these things work. I can not seem to find the resistance that I put forth that keeps it from working financially. Therefore, I must tell myself, it is working. it is already working. Maybe the divine timing is different from my desire for another reason. But, the prosperity is here. Very soon, maybe today, maybe tomorrow, I will see it. The fog clears and I see it is already here.

The Progressive affirmation path is a great tool, I used it for another goal and I must say that I get aligned with the affirmation very quickly, it usually takes about a few minutes only! What I do is I say the four affirmations out loud or to myself all at once very firmly, after a few times repeating ALL steps I feel very aligned. I’ve read Louise Hay’s book “You can Heal Your Life” the affirmations in her book are wonderful. I must say that even though your feelings may not match the affirmations at some point in time, it is very good to repeat the affirmations over and over, because from what I understand from Louise’s book (and I resonate with what she’s saying) is that an affirmation is like a seed that you plant, so eventually it always works.

the little enemsies within – the little gurgling voices that say nay – Elyse – you have set a very clear ans specific task -breaking it down into stages will heightened my awareness of the little sneaky blockages, now just the big rages and fury …..
and it takes trust just to trust that this works …little by little as I focus my attention on identifying these little fellows, and shooing them away from my sight ….
like choosing to be fit – and to be selective in what I eat – so choosing to promote the good habits and feelings and inner voices … and blow away the negative ones…

It’s amazing how much “gunk” comes up for me when I do this! It just came spilling out! Very freeing…and eye-opening, I must say! I had no idea that all of those thoughts and ideas were blocking me. Great tool!

I love the progressive affirmations and I love this quote by Gandhi!
I am having fun – feeling great – just practicing pivoting my thoughts and even what I say out loud to myself (driving alone; doing chores home alone, etc) – making these be things that just feel good. Sometimes I even amuse myself so much I’m glad I’m alone so no one will think I’m crazy…but come to think of it, it’s a good crazy, so maybe I’ll just enjoy that!!
Thank you all for your comments, I love reading this every day!

I AM SO IN ALIGNMENT with today’s challenge!
I was on the very first Friday call when this experiment first started. I posed the question about what it means to “be in alignment” as I am feeling that’s where I’m getting tripped up with this whole process. The lovely lady conducting the call (her name escapes me at the moment) suggested that I use the tools on the choosingprosperity.com site.
Well, you need a credit card to access the site free for a trial period. How about my card kept being declined so I couldn’t access the “Tools” on the site. Bummer.
I’ve been pondering how to get myself into alignment with various desires I have as I feel once I understand how to use the “tool” manifestations will be knocking at my door!
I’ve never understood Abraham’s Focus Wheel as I guess I’ve been very un-focused.
But reading what was written today gave me a template. I can substitute my desire in place of ‘choosing prosperity’ and that is so fabulous. Here goes. Tell me what you think.
1) It is nice to imagine that I can ‘choose to pay off my mortgage in a lump sum payment’
2) I am open to the experience of ‘choosing to pay off my mortgage in a lump sum payment’
3) I now have confidence that I can ‘choose to pay off my mortgage in a lump sum payment’
4) I Choose To Pay Off My Mortgage In A Lump Sum Payment.
I’m getting goosebumps. (Hey, do geese really have bumps?) Hmmm.
A SHIFT IS TAKING PLACE AS I TYPE!!
I feel as if I’m already at Stage 2. Oh this is juicy!
Bravo! Bravo! This is good stuff!
Ok, I’m going to write this down as I feel so incredibly lighter now.
MORE! MORE! MORE! I need MORE alignment tools.
Please share what you all are using to check your alignment with your desires.

Spot on.
It’s all very well to try and manifest millions, as millions around the world do every lotto night, but when you “know” that it’s unlikely, and gold bullion doesn’t ” just appear” on your doorstep, then it’s basically wishful thinking. I know that financial freedom isn’t just going to fall in my lap, and all I really “want” is to be debt free. I will do just fine without the Porsche : ) As my greed becomes “sane” so too does my path for attaining this freedom become much easier and attainable. THAT’s exciting to me!
I know I have all the ability, knowledge and opportunity to make my life as I dream it. My relationships, career, lifestyle, fitness, spiritual and emotional states have taken a lot of focus and effort, but the results have been spectacular, beyond what i could hope for actually : )
I know that the area of finances is just the same, for me anyway, and the best thing I have learnt thus far is that I need to stop making excuses, and to start doing the things to make my dreams in this final area reality.
I’ve known what to do for a few years now, but only decided to start DOING things in the last few days. I always knew I would retire early and well off, and I could quit this experiement now and label it a resounding success for me.
The realisation that’s it’s all up to me, and can be as great as I make it is truely exciting and quite liberating.
Giddy-up : )

Affirmations are the best medicine. The nice thing about working with affirmations is they keep you focused on what it is you are working towards as well as the benefits of actually bringing that to life. In my life affirmations have been a solid tool I can count on to help me shift my thinking into alignment with my desires. Thank you for the progressive affirmations – it makes total sense to do it this way.

I really like the progressive affirmations. Trying to make such a large jump from believing prosperity is unattainable to “I choose prosperity” is too much for me. I felt very comfortable with the first affirmation. It is what I am doing. Imagining. Cutting out pictures from magazines of what I want and images that portray how I want to feel has been great fun. My vision boards are filling up and I know that soon that imagining will transform into being open to the experience of choosing prosperity. I trust that I will get there.
I like your idea Teresa of putting your mortgage in the affirmations! Very cool.
Happy Weekend!

Ever since I started to add the phrase:
” I choose…”
to any of my affirmations, I feel completely .
I am confident, that all things are possible. It puts me into the driver’s seat, instantaneously reminding me of my freedom. My freedom is the freedom to choose and guide my thoughts.
I am so grateful!

Progressive Affirmations – profound and so true! I have used them in the past but today’s lesson added a whole new level of understanding on the subject, and as I look back I can see that my experience verifies it all.

I find this post very enlightening. First, I have to continue to get very clear and explicit with myself and my guides about what I want to manifest. Instead of whining about something not being here yet, I am putting the focus on me to create affirmations and then say them with positive vibration and true resonance and to be very clear. Do I just want a new car or do I want a new shiny red land rover? My car is actually being quite beautiful to me so I just used it as example of how I am training my mind to think. I have been using the 100 things to be, do or have posting to write specific things I am manifesting now, even if they have not shown up just yet, I know that they are here for me and I am closer than ever.
I love the progressive affirmations because it also helps train my mind to get comfortable with what I am asking for and allows me to grow with each step till I can truly say each line with embrace and energy that really resonates with what I am feeling. I am taking my time and thus, am only on step 1 right now but I love the feeling of saying “It is nice to imagine that I can choose prosperity.” Just using the word imagine is so powerful, because we can create any reality with our imagination and breath behind it. I love the word choose because it makes me a doer instead of waiter. And I am loving the word prosperity more and more every day as I am choosing to believe in my own prosperity in all areas of my life. Namaste.

I love the progressive affirmations and especially the wouldn’t it be nice…. before this experiment, I actually started doing that by myself on walks, and it felt so great, and the possibility seemed more possible, and it was fun and all the imagination gets activated and like a kid it is a fun game with such great possibilities. Now in addition to doing that on walks, I enjoy playing it on the prosperity portal every day just about, and these exercizes just feel so good. I love all the choosing, and wanting, and asking and desiring, and then reading what everyone else is doing and experiencing. So I know I will keep doing the games, and write and experiment and watch for results. Sometimes they are just soooo there, I almost take them for granted. But I do appreciate them all large or small.

i listened to abraham’s the astonishing power of emotions cd this morning (it’s a bonus cd that came with the book by the same name). the progressive affirmations elyse offers remind of when abraham says that the feeling that we should reach for all day, every day is the feeling of RELIEF. in that it is often too much of a vibrational jump to go from the feeling of, let’s say, rage to joy. so if we can go from rage to anger and then anger to disappointment, that is an improvement.
same thing with the progressive affirmations – we are climbing our way up the vibrational scale if going straight to ““My checking account is worth millions.” is too much of a jump for us (causing us resistance). so starting with “it is nice to imagine that – “My checking account is worth millions.” feels better.
so, this makes perfect sense.
so, i saw the orange car i intended to see this week (on tuesday) and the butterflies (on wednesday). still waiting on the unexpected money i am expecting (wanted it by thursday, but hey….). i know it will show up! i’m still expecting it with great anticipation. IT MUST ARRIVE AS IF ON WINGS! i’m having fun aligning my energy until it does.
got my vision boards (i have two) and my creation box out last night with renewed enthusiasm, interest and feeling.
a great abraham quote i keep on my office desk:
“THE WORLD IS AWASH IN MONEY! DO YOU HEAR WHAT THAT MEANS? IT IS AWASH IN MONEY. IT IS FLOWING FOR EVERYONE. IT IS LIKE NIAGRA FALLS. AND MOST OF YOU ARE SHOWING UP WITH YOUR TEASPOONS…” – ~ Abraham
i looove this quote! we must ask for more and we must EXPECT more.
happy friday all! off to meet with a (potential) new client that showed up this week in the most unexpected way. more proof!

.. starting with “it is nice to imagine that – “My checking account is worth millions.” feels better.
THANK YOU Suhailah, I was JUST going to post about how i definitely have a problem area here with saying things I know are not in existence now. Not that they cannot happen- I imagine anything is possible. I CAN let myself think that yes, I could have that much money. It would be nice. But getting over that next hurdle to saying I have it. It is mine. This is my challenge.
Last night I took a moment before bed to check out my vision board on the wall next to my nightside stand. I see that some of the things I asked for (weight loss being one) is working (I am down 35 lbs) I can see that others are in progress; that they are working out as they should, but the end result will be indeed what I am asking for. And some are to be seen but I know that I have asked- clearly, consciously- and I will have an answer and it will be what I need and want.
Today I emailed myself at work our lesson so I can work on it throughout my day. Have a great day and welcome to the weekend everyone !

One of my absolute favorite quotes – “Be the change you want to see in the world,” and how appropriate since today is Ghandi’s birthday.
I have found the progressive affirmations to be a powerful too. It gives me a real appreciation for the little shifts that happen. I don’t worry about getting to the I Choose level, for it seems that getting there is assured since I appreciating where I am.

After losing my job 2 years ago due to ill health, and being advised not to return to the same type of work as this would be detrimental to my health, I have been studying, looking for ideas for a new career which would be fitting with both my passions, and not detrimental to my health. I’ve applied for jobs, and had some interest, but this has been in areas that I have experience with, and when I’ve spoken to potential employers it has been obvious that old problems are likely to recur if I went in this direction (you know, the sort of people who expect you to drop everything and attend an interview on a Sunday on your wedding anniversary, admit they are workaholics, and by inference make it plain they’d expect you to be available 24/7).
So I chose this year to focus on things I enjoy and try to find a way forward in a new direction. I finished a book I’d been working on for a while, worked at getting it published, continued with studies in areas of interest (NLP, Coaching, Stress Management, Counselling etc), and have been doing a little freelance writing since May, although this only really covers itself in terms of costs and is more of a hobby.
But every so often I start to panic, and realise that my back up funds are running short, and feel that I SHOULD be getting a job. And the only jobs people have wanted to give me are in the very areas that made me unwell in the past.
Then last night, I had a meeting with a small group of business people, organised by one of the guys who has done consultancy all over the world (who I met in my freelance writer capacity), and another who has 30 years business experience in different ventures. The organiser’s suggestion was that we all get together and brainstorm new income generating ideas. And having run a few of my ideas past the group, I woke up this morning with a definite plan for something I think I can do well, which uses my new qualifications and some of the less stressful aspects from my old life. And I think there is a real market for it right now, which the experienced guys last night were in full agreement with.
I’ve been jotting ideas down all morning, and next week I’m going to start some serious research, build a website and get some publicity put together for marketing purposes. So this could well be my first step on the road to sustainable prosperity!

I find my biggest resistance to anything is the thought that my wish / desire/ thing that I am asking for will result in person(s) I love being hurt in some way.
For example, I ask for unexpected money and very quickly does the idea that I may get it through an inheritance….which would only be coming from someone I love. Completely unacceptable for me, and so I push it away. Not surprisingly, unexpected money doesn’t come too often. I have started to add ” in ways that keep myself and those connected to me safe” to my requests and affirmations. That really worked for me emotionally until I noticed that was I was asking for was still not manifesting. So now I am wondering if that addition is also pushing away what I am asking for.
I would really love some help with this one. It is something that has been blocking me for a few years now.

I love seeing the comment I posted a year ago about this activity. I see that at that time I was not ready to believe that I could choose prosperity. I was at such a beginning stage of cutting out pics but not thinking I could really have those things. I’ve come so far!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I totally believe that I choose prosperity now. I feel the power in my gut to choose and make my reality exactly the way I want it to be. The progressive affirmations work marvelously! Please do them! I’ve done them for many things in my life. This whole process with the PPP has changed my life!
Verna how about starting with the affirmation “It would be nice to believe that I am safe.” Your requesst to keep yourself and your loved ones safe comes from a fear that you are not safe so you are blocking your goodness. Have you tried emotional freedom technique? Tapping has helped me release some powerful emotions that were blocking my ability to have abundance in all forms. I worked with a life coach for 2 months on this stuff and I am now free!

I love this game and this experiment. I’ve been having more and more epiphanies in the past 3 months than at any other period in my life. I’m reading The Sedona Method, The Vortex, Infinite Possibilities, Think and Grow Rich, and The Science of Getting Rich right now (yeah, it’s kind of a lot!), along with listening to calls from The Women’s Masters Series, Healing With the Masters, Abraham, and other various recordings. I have to say that I have been making some serious vibrational shifts and I feel closer to my goals than ever before!
I find that using The Sedona Method is the fastest way to clear out the “gunk” that comes up as I say affirmations. If you’re not familiar with it, it’s a simple 4 step process: 1) welcome the feeling “could I allow myself to welcome this emotion completely? or could I allow this feeling to be here now?” 2) “could I allow myself to let go of this emotion/feeling?” 3) “would I allow myself to let it go?” 4) “when?”
You want to stick with your initial response and just allow whatever answer you have to be the answer. Regardless of what your answer is, continue through the process. Some releasing is instantaneous while other times require one to cycle through the process multiple times. If you get stuck, ask if you can allow yourself to be stuck. This often helps clear up whatever emotions are holding you in place.
There’s much more to this method, and if you’re interested, I recommend checking out the book. It’s been great for me—hopefully this posting will also help to uplift you!

Todays lesson reminded me of a lesson I learned about 10 years ago. I had just switched careers, going from a safe secure position to a sales position on commission – no salary – as a Financial Advisor. I was committed to my career choice because I thought I could really help with their finances. Part of my new career entailed about 20 hours per week of classes. A big mantra for the classes was “fake it until you make it”. I was appalled and in complete resistance because it felt dishonest. However, I came up with my own mantra that worked for me “Failure is not an option” and I posted that up on the coffee room white board. One day, I walked into the coffee room and saw my mantra had been changed to “Success is the only option.” I got it immediately, I was making it much more difficult for myself by having by focusing on a negative instead of the positive. I didn’t even realize my belief system was negative (failure) until someone else posted the positive version. I think the progressive affirmations help counter any innate tendency we may have to sabotage ourselves like this. Many times we don’t even know we’re doing it.

I agree completely with Shakti Gawain’s quote: ‘Affirmations work best when you use them to affirm the truth about yourself. I have found that they fail miserably when you use them to suppress negative thoughts or feelings.’
About six months ago, my sister, who is also participating in this experiment, introduced me to the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) which is a process I have found to be quite effective in neutralizing old negative programming in my mind and emotions. Using EFT has enabled me to clear the “old stuff” out and change my “vibrational set point” so that my affirmations, visualizations and the like are set in a new foundation of clarity, health and prosperity.
I no longer have those negative feelings of dread, disbelief and unworthiness sitting in the pit of my stomach as I affirm what I KNOW is my true birthright.
I feel FREE and CLEAR!!!! I am certain that this is a major reason why this third time of me playing the game has been so effective. Thank you Suhailah:)

I don’t know if this fits here but I had aterrific dream last night and have to report it
I was in the city going to work. Waiting to cross a street and a guy came by all happy and thtew a bunch of money in the air and out into the street. “Go ahead” he said “pick up as much as you want”. I grabbed as much as I could carry and putit in a bag. The money was foreign thai or cam bodian so I thought it wasn’t worth much. But later some one counted it for me and it was $500.000!! I was so excited and happy and the first thing I did was give $5.000 each to the peple I worked with. It felt so good. That’s the feeling I want to bring as I get my check each day in the prosperity game. I think yhis was a really special dream as I will always remember how it felt to be so abundently catrd for. Thanks for listening!!

Verna,
Here’s a thought. How about changing ” in ways that keep myself and those connected to me safe” to “in fun and surprising ways”…That way, you lighten the mood a tad and are open to receiving it from unexpected sources. The other way you seem to be limiting how the universe can bring resources to you because your conscious/subconscious is thinking it must come from an inheritance. The goods news is the universe/source have a myriad of ways to get resources to us that we haven’t even thought of! Turn it over and let it work for you!
Blessings

This makes a good deal of sense and resonates with me. The Focus Wheel is something I’ve never quite gotten a handle on and this clarifies and simplifies the concept for me. Abraham’s most recent CDs have been mentioning the Focus Wheel a lot, so it’s obviously time for me to take a closer look at that process.
Regarding the affirmations, I’m at step 2 already and step 3 is close.

I use this technique in EFT. Most of my affirmations have worked for me throughout my life but have been slower in the prosperity department. So I have some thoughts that are in need of changing. So using these affirmations may be just what the doctor ordered.

Bleah. Saying the second affirmation makes me feel sick to my stomach! Yesss! Now we’re getting somewhere!
I’m writing these down on a card to put into my pocket, to say many times per day. That nay-sayer is going to get louder within me until I can really hear who is telling me no and why. And then we’re going to have a little talk.
I have been feeling for the past two days that something very BIG and WONDERFUL is going to happen for me very soon. The excitement I feel around this is such a high vibration and it feels GOOD! I am done selling myself short in life, and ready for a big change. So, universe, surprise me!

hi verna i too had an issue with asking for what i want for fear, among other fears, that someone i live would be hurt in some way. but after reading at home with god, n.walsch and radical forgivess i under stand now that death is not the end and i believe that every soul has a purpose for being in this now which may in some way cause harm to someone else, at least ’seeming’ harm. BUT I BELIEVE THAT IT IS ALL GOOD AND THAT THE UNIVERSE CONSPIRES FOR MY GOOD AS IT DOES FOR EVERYONE ELSE’S GOOD. the tricky part may be dealing with any guilt i may feel.
tru dat sandra. my job is not the how. that’s the universe’s
business
when i read the post for today i am reminded of what i forgot when i last read a.hicks book. thanks for the reminder. i also recognized some resistance. my ego way of saying that it is not possible. but i push on choosing to direct my thought, exercising Mastery And Dominion over my thoughts. this is a great exercise in practicing OPENING my mind and heart to EXPANSION AND receiving whatever i expect from the universe. still on-it is nice to imagine that i have a million dollars in my checking account and almost to i am open. MORE WILL BE REVEALED

I was re-reading today’s message, and Carolyn Myss’s statement about evolving at the rate of the tribe we’re plugged into. I’ve been struggling with my work environment. I like my job – but it’s not my dream job. I like my co-workers – but their collective vibration is becoming more clearly negative to me. They’re very good at masking, but I can feel the vibe – competitive, closed, judgmental. So, while I’m now focusing on thanking them for bringing my own vibrational issues to my attention, I’m noticing more that there is another side to the evolution or the collective vibration. Abraham-Hicks is always telling us to “keep our fingers out of other people’s business” and pay attention to ourselves. The only thing that matters is that “I am happy.” I’m cool with that! So, in essence, while we’re plugged into this energy, we are also responsible for it!
At this point, I’m evolving at the rate of my “tribe” (i.e. my coworkers), when in fact, if I raise my vibration, THEY can begin to evolve at MY rate!!! So, up until now, I’ve been noticing the “clattering” as Abraham-Hicks calls it and getting all annoyed. NOW, it’s up to me to notice the clattering and change my focus to the things that make me feel good.
I hope this makes sense to other folks…it was a huge A-HA moment for me!

I love Hilary’s statement. I have been noticing that I pivot a lot lately and since I have been doing this experiment a lot of things have been falling into place for me. I have a million dollars in my purse, it is not a real million dollar bill but the universe does not know that. I try to find ways to spend it every day just as people do with the real hundred dollars but I still feel some resistance.
So here goes, It is nice to imagine that I can have a million dollars
I am open to the experience of having a million dollars
I now have confidence that I can have a million dollars
I choose to have a million dollars.
I am in the best place in the world for the universe to give this to me.
Las Vegas.
Boy, that really feels good.

Interesting feeling popped up when I read those affirmations. The first two were ok but the third one about conifidence stuck me. That was a big issue years ago and now it seems I just buried it. So, back to work I go.
Have been using EFT also on many things that arise. Will keep on doing that.
Everyone today has given me much insight into my own feelings about prosperity. I too, have pushed the prosperity away due to these thoughts of mine that keep interfering and boy, ego sure doesn’t like me moving forward. I am now am choosing to be confident.. Love to you all.

Wow, such wonderful stories, happenings you guys are telling on this Forum, I LOVE it. I have decided to share some of my current affirmations, the ones I am now taking forth every day with me:
I am loved.
I am wanted
I can’t get it wrong
I can contribute
I can commit
I am in perfect time:)
I can do this
I WANT TO DO THIS!
I do make a difference
I count, BIGTIME:)!
I bow to this benevolent Universe
I pay attention:) to what shows up!
So many of these affirmations/beliefs(just a thought repeated over and over, it is said) are always running in our backgrounds, and very powerful!
I just had a big breakthrough last week around what blocks profound affluence for me. And it is a deeply seated belief of hey I’m not really wanted by the World anyway so I can just slide out the back, and NOT commit, not be all that I KNOW I can be…
And so it has been! But now:), well I am just beginning to cross those lines into a rich and rewarding World of YES, I say yes to a bright and glorious me! Just a little gift from The Prosperity Experiment!
I AM choosing prosperity!

Progressive affirmations are a very good tool, they really lighten you up, and they have created miracles for me. I really recommend Louise Hay’s book “You can heal your life” and her cd “101 Power Thoughts”.

During the car/butterfly experiment a couple days ago I had absolutely no problem manifesting what I was searching for. The first day I saw 45 ’sunset beige’ cars. The second day I saw 26 butterflies. The day after that I saw another 17 butterflies, even though I wasn’t looking as intentionally as the day before. They continued to manifest themselves.
When it comes to manifesting personal prosperity; however, I have much more difficulty. I think this is due to several things. Simplicity and clarity – when searching for cars and butter flies the goal and intention was very simple and clear. This is the thing I am looking for, so I look – without any doubt, fear or judgement about whether I can do it or not – and I see what I am searching for. Easy.
When I “want” or “try” to manifest something for myself I don’t always take the time to get clear about what I want, or I make things too complicated. I think I either don’t give myself enough details or I bog myself down with them. Either way the results are the same. Without enough clarity it’s easy to give up. With too much information it’s easy to feel overwhelmed… and give up.
Here is my intention for the day and what I am asking for:
I deserve to make enough money to experience financial freedom. I am asking the universe to provide money for me to pay off all my debt. I am asking the universe to provide me with a fulfilling and satisfying career with ample vacation time, a maximum of 30 hours of work per week to allow me enough time and energy to pursue all my other interests, goals, hobbies, desires, and a salary of $5,000 per month.
I do deserve prosperity and I choose prosperity.

I feel aligned with all the ideas included in the affirmations. I choose prosperity. I let go and let God.

Wow – just a few hours ago my 11 year old daughter was telling me about her problems with a friend at school not being nice, and I said that same quote to her! Must be a reason….;)
I’m feeling so prosperous now, it’s not even funny! Watched a Tony Robbins DVD on creating wealth today and I know that I’m already wealthy. I’ve got some big ideas in the oven right now, and I’m focusing on gratitude – let you know how it goes – all my best to every single one of you, my friends in this experiment, and this life!

Hi,
In my experience, chanting sanskrit mantras works wonders. As sanskrit mantra are more sound based and may not have any literal translation, they do not evoke any contradictory emotions when you chant them. for example to welcome prosperity in your life, the mantra to chant is
OM SHREEM MAHALAKSHMIYEI SWAHA which means
Om and salutations to that feminine energy which bestows all manner of wealth and prosperity.
This evokes no negative emotion in the chanter whatsoever. And repeated reptitions of this mantra with or without emotion will energize the prosperity vibration in your life.

I wanted to start with number 2-open to the experience seems easier than imaging. Hmmmm. Isn’t that interesting. I am surrounded by people who make high six figure to million dollar incomes. They travel several times a year-have the homes and the lifestyles I want…yet I have a hard time imagining for me….why is that, I wonder?
My intention:
To feel worthy of financial and time freedom. To feel worthy of having many friends and family around me often. To feel worthy of nice homes, travel and clubs. I ask God to provide money for me to pay off all my debt easily and quickly. I am God to provide me with a fulfilling career that allows me to positively impact others while giving me plenty of vacation time, ease of working around the school year and school events, ease of incorporating exercise into my day and a minimum salary of $5,000 per week. I ask for the perfect husband and step dad to show up-and let us be perfect for him.

What a great, great, fascinating, revealing and brilliant exercise!
I set up a reminder in Outlook to pop up and say the affirmation to me. I felt in alignment with the first few affirmations when I read them and they felt really clear to me yet when I went and repeated them a number of times throughout the day, an interesting response / gunk came up for me …
1) It is nice to imagine that I can ‘choose prosperity’
2) I am open the experience of ‘choosing prosperity’
- “What if I don’t?” (What if I know that I can choose it but I wind up not choosing it even though I intended to)
- “What do I need to do?”
- “What if I don’t know what to do?”
- “What if I screw up?” (Wanting to be in alignment but then am not)
Interesting that these things come up when the affirmation sounds so do-able to me … just being open to an experience is definitely what I’m all about.
Ok, I will continue on!
Love to you all.
Hugs,
Col

How much this reminds me of the Louise Hay DVD of her book – You Can Heal Your Life.
I’ve watched it over and over. It’s been a meditation and a sleep aid and a great teacher. I listen to it and it helps me settle down and accept. Affirmations can feel silly or ridiculous, but so do most things until you get the hang of them. First dates, first kisses, first day on the job — it’s all new and unfamiliar. But accepting that it’s the truth and that I’m going through a process of training, learning and familiarizing myself with the benefits of believing that what I say is true was what I needed to learn first.
I think of Shakespeare in Love when things seem impossible and the play won’t happen, the Theatre Manager never loses faith. He doesn’t know why it works, he just knows everything will come together when it should. His explanation is “it’s a mystery.” I try to cultivate this sentiment and hold on to the belief that it will all come together when it should. How is a mystery and I’m content to watch that unfold in it’s own way.

Thank you everyone for your ideas and suggestions. I will definitely start on some EFT and change my addition to “fun and surprising ways”.
Thank you for your help!

I was really surprised to find that I had resistance to the first affirmation. I mean it really seemed doable to me. I had it for several days. But all at once today I could get through it and in a very short time the others all followed. On one day. Hmmmm. I have noticed it does seem to line up with confidence for me. I guess people sometimes get more confident the more they practice something. So maybe for some of us some things need more practice than others.

I choose, that is the key, for me to really feel, it is the first part,
then comes the part of knowing i am deserving of what i choose and this lets the resistence go, so i can allow
so i have been going about my day saying “I choose to drink pure mountain spring water” i turn on my tap and there it is, i dont even pay for it, and i have proof that i can give myself what i choose and i deserve this. or I choose to breathe clean fresh cool mountain air, and i do and i am once again, getting what i chose
and so on thru out my day, i find this is empowering
i chose to have comfort and joy, this morning i had hot cocoa tea while still in PJ’s, watching the sun rise thru the trees and taking the time to know, i gave this to myself. i love myself for giving me all this. I choose to love myself.

I love this idea of how to progress to the most powerful affirmation… I needed this and I am thankful for it…
1) It is nice to imagine that I can provide myself and my children a really nice home in a safe diverse neighborhood of loving people.
2) I am open the experience of providing my family with a really nice home in a safe diverse neighborhood of loving people.
3) I now have confidence that I can provide myself and my children a really nice home in a safe diverse neighborhood of loving people.
4) I Choose to live in a really nice home located in a safe diverse neighborhood of loving people
AND SO IT IS!!!

I am certainly challenged with the resistance to being deserving of all that I am.
This is an area that I stumble in… I choose to be deserving of all that is.
